Since 2011, PrivacyAbroad has established itself as a trustworthy company for its customers’ privacy and security. Their VPN service is no different.
We wish some things were better — like payment plans including more than just annual options, or the refund period lasting longer than 10 days. However, in the face of the overall quality PrivacyAbroad VPN offers, the few minor drawbacks can easily be brushed aside.
Here’s what you get: a true Swiss VPN, absolutely zero logs stored, excellent encryption, and a global server network of 27 countries. PrivacyAbroad definitely lives up to its name, and its comprehensive privacy policy explains in detail why they don’t have to (or want to) keep any sensitive information.
This company is also one of the few that extend their passive approach to their website as well — it promises not to “read, scan, or analyze your site activities”, which is commendable.
PrivacyAbroad VPN may not have the bells and whistles some are looking for, e.g. streaming-oriented servers or P2P support (although it’s not explicitly forbidden). But that’s never been its mission. This VPN is committed to giving you the protection and peace of mind you deserve — anything else is a welcome bonus.

Getting PrivacyAbroad VPN to run is a simple task, made even easier if you’re on Windows or Android.
With native clients for the above two, you can enjoy better protection and access to restricted content in less than a minute! Alternatively, you can opt for a manual configuration, which can be used for iOS, Linux, and even routers.
PrivacyAbroad has a dedicated FAQ section for the VPN, in addition to a separate support website full of useful information. That said, some of the setup tutorials aren’t written by the provider, instead redirecting to articles and videos on the web.
