WifiMask VPN Review 2024: Before You Buy, Is It Worth It?
WifiMask VPN Overview
WifiMask was developed by two brothers in the Netherlands, making it a family-run company. Their mission is to make the internet unlimited and security accessible to everyone around the world. They have chosen to start with an app for MacOS which unblocks online content and protects you Wi-Fi connection.
WifiMask offers top-level AES-256, 4096-bit RSA and DH encryption which would allow even the most suspicious security engineer to feel assured of their sensitive information is being protected with the utmost security and privacy. This VPN also offers a nifty teleportation feature which has been aptly named as it transports your IP address to any location in the world that you want so you can gain access to any content. This feature is excellent for bypassing geo-blocks and restrictions.
You can browse online completely carefree as the firewall is initiated the moment you click on the “secure connection” button on the app – even while it is rerouting your connection. This feature is excellent for safety as it secures your data before you even connect to the internet, protecting you when you connect to public Wi-Fi spots. You can safely connect while traveling without a worry.
WifiMask doesn’t log any DNS request or traffic data, no bandwidth data, and no timestamps from your connections, allowing you to remain truly private and anonymous. Plus, this VPN allows you to do P2P torrenting – a big plus.
There are two different subscription options – a monthly subscription which has a free 3 day trial, and the annual subscription which has a free 7 day trial. The monthly subscription allows you to cancel at any point whereas the annual option allows you to save a fair amount of money (almost 2 months’ membership). Both packages include unlimited bandwidth and data. When signing up and signing in, your password is hashed, allowing you to stay completely anonymous.
Speed
- 8.1 / 10Why Most Speed Tests are Pointless & How We Correctly Test VPN Speeds
Speed determines how fast content uploads, so if you're torrenting or streaming, you want the speed to be somewhat identical to your regular internet speed. Since a VPN encrypts your data, it usually takes a bit longer to send your data back and forth, which can slow down your connection. However, if your ISP deliberately slows down your connection (also known as throttling) a VPN might increase your internet speed. Testing a VPN is somewhat pointless because new servers pop up and affect speed. Your speed can also differ according to your location, so your speed test might not match ours. Having said that, we tested the speed in numerous locations to provide you with the average.

User Experience
- 8.4 / 10I have limited details regarding the company apart from its founders and location. Unfortunately, there is no available information about the network’s location or the specific count of servers they possess. However, this VPN has gone to great length to prove that they are an excellent security software option. If you are looking for an easy-to-use, simple, reasonably priced VPN option for your MacOS device that has a no frills approach to their site and their service, then this VPN is great for you.
Support
- 8.4 / 10How We Test Customer Support and Why Should You Care
We personally test the customer support team of every VPN we review. This means asking technical question through the live chat feature (where applicable) and measuring the response time for email questions. Whether you need to connect to a specific server, change your security protocol, or configure a VPN on your router, finding a VPN with quality customer support should be important to you.
