While Freedom-IP is not the most well-known of VPNs, it’s become a hit with gamers. That’s because Freedom-IP offers a special mode for gamers with high-speed and lower latency so your gaming experience is optimized.
Freedom-IP provides reliable security features including robust military-grade encryption, as well as a range of security protocols such as OpenVPN, L2TP, and PPTP.
With servers in 32 countries, Freedom-IP offers a decent sized network, and since it can be installed on Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android, you can use it for all of your gaming needs.
Users should be aware that the customer support is limited to forums and blog posts, which are all in French.
Freedom-IP has a short and relevant privacy policy that clearly states what they do and don’t record. They don’t record the websites you visit, which is great but they do log IP address, which is disappointing.
They have a 3-day free trial that helps you try their services before paying for them. And the paid plans aren’t expensive either – they have very affordable pricing and offer monthly, 6-monthly, and yearly packages.
We weren’t impressed by the payment options though. You can pay only using your credit cards. There is no other option – not even PayPal!

While there are no specific apps by the company, you can download the OpenVPN app for Windows and install it. The problem with the installation is that there are no tutorials. While there are a few tutorials in French, there are none in English.
You can translate French to English on your browser but the screenshots are in French. Ergo installation takes a little extra time. But the good thing is that the OpenVPN build they provide is already configured with their VPN.
There are several features such as DNS leak and port forwarding setting, but we couldn’t find a kill-switch.
