Bart VPN Review 2025: Before You Buy, Is It Worth It?
Bart VPN Overview
“2025 UPDATE! Unfortunately Bart VPN is no longer available. Why not check out our list of the best VPNs in 2025 or find out more about our top recommendation, ExpressVPN.”
Editor's Note: Transparency is one of our core values at WizCase, so you should know we are in the same ownership group as ExpressVPN. However, this does not affect our review process, as we adhere to a strict testing methodology.
If you’re in a hurry, here’s the bottom line — You can get more servers globally, better VPN features, and 24/7 customer support with Surfshark for the same price or less. So why bother reading on?!
BartVPN is a Polish VPN service provider under the RedSky LLC banner that promises to protect your online anonymity. They offer support for OpenVPN protocol and 128 or 256-bit encryption for all their plans. With a total of 11 servers spread across 9 countries, they have a comparatively small network.
They have two individual plans – monthly and yearly. Both support two devices on one license. The 1-year business subscription offers 10 devices on one license. If you want to cover all the devices in your household, you can opt for the business plan.
There’s a 7-day free trial on all plans. There’s also a 7-day refund policy, but it’s applicable only if you haven’t consumed more than 5GB of data. While it’s not exactly a no-questions-asked money back guarantee, it does let you try their services risk-free.
So far so good. However, the privacy policy of BartVPN is a big red flag. They clearly state that they store the URL of the sites you visit, your IP address, and your email patterns. They also keep your personal data with them so that they can share it with the law enforcement authorities.
If their spying isn’t a big put-off for you, their customer support will be. BartVPN has consistently attracted negative reviews on their user community and on other sites for their poor customer support. They offer only email support and that too just 5 days of the week.
BartVPN has an app for Windows. While they claim that their Android app is on Google Play, their link takes you nowhere. You can download their apk file from third-party sites though.
Speed - 7.9 / 10
Why Most Speed Tests are Pointless & How We Correctly Test VPN Speeds
Speed determines how fast content uploads, so if you're torrenting or streaming, you want the speed to be somewhat identical to your regular internet speed. Since a VPN encrypts your data, it usually takes a bit longer to send your data back and forth, which can slow down your connection. However, if your ISP deliberately slows down your connection (also known as throttling) a VPN might increase your internet speed. Testing a VPN is somewhat pointless because new servers pop up and affect speed. Your speed can also differ according to your location, so your speed test might not match ours. Having said that, we tested the speed in numerous locations to provide you with the average.

User Experience - 8.4 / 10
BartVPN is available on Windows for individual plans and on Windows and Mac for the business plan. There is also an Android app that’s available on third-party websites. You can download the apk file and install it on your phone.
However, since it’s on third party websites and not on Google Play store or on their own official website, it just might be a fake app.
The Windows client takes about 2-3 minutes to install, and the app is easy to use. The app will turn to a green color to indicate that you’re connected.
While the app is easy to install and just takes a click on the “Install” button, many users have reported glitches and apathetic customer care. If you’re planning to go with BartVPN, choose it at your own risk.
Before you make a final decision, we highly recommend you check out some alternative VPNs which may offer better features and prices.

How We Test Customer Support and Why Should You Care
We personally test the customer support team of every VPN we review. This means asking technical question through the live chat feature (where applicable) and measuring the response time for email questions. Whether you need to connect to a specific server, change your security protocol, or configure a VPN on your router, finding a VPN with quality customer support should be important to you.
Editor's Note: We value our relationship with our readers, and we strive to earn your trust through transparency and integrity. We are in the same ownership group as some of the industry-leading products reviewed on this site: ExpressVPN, Cyberghost, Private Internet Access, and Intego. However, this does not affect our review process, as we adhere to a strict testing methodology.
