VitalSecurityVPN Review 2021: Before You Buy, Is It Worth It?

What do we look at?

VitalSecurityVPN Overview January 2021

While VitalSecurityVPN is a decent VPN, you can get better quality VPNs at an affordable price. Surfshark, for example, offers premium VPN features for a super low monthly fee — so you don’t have to settle for less.

As a branch of Finjan, VitalSecurityVPN aims to help protect users who are browsing on their mobile devices. The service offers applications for all major operating systems: Windows, Mac OS, iOS, and Android. They are one of the few VPN services to offer a mobile-based integrated VPN and internet browser. The mobile browser offers enhanced privacy with ad- and tracker-blocking plus malware scanning.
VitalSecurityVPN offers a free service plan, but it limits you to only 500MB of usage. However, if users register, they can get 1GB per month. This option is perfect for someone who wants to protect themselves online but does not plan on doing much more than minor surfing. It is not a plan for those who want to try streaming videos. Their paid subscriptions offer unlimited bandwidth and are ideal for families because an unlimited number of devices can connect simultaneously from a single account.
This VPN service provider uses end-to-end encryption of all users’ data while they are connected. However, they do not have a kill switch feature which means that internet connections are not blocked if the VPN disconnects. Users’ data may become unencrypted when disconnected.
VitalSecurityVPN makes it easy to connect: just log in, choose the country, and join. Users can only select their connection country on desktop applications. For users connected with a mobile app, the link is automatic, and the server site displays on the screen.

Why Most Speed Tests are Pointless & How We Correctly Test VPN Speeds

Speed determines how fast content uploads, so if you're torrenting or streaming, you want the speed to be somewhat identical to your regular internet speed. Since a VPN encrypts your data, it usually takes a bit longer to send your data back and forth, which can slow down your connection. However, if your ISP deliberately slows down your connection (also known as throttling) a VPN might increase your internet speed. Testing a VPN is somewhat pointless because new servers pop up and affect speed. Your speed can also differ according to your location, so your speed test might not match ours. Having said that, we tested the speed in numerous locations to provide you with the average.

VitalSecurityVPN has 20 servers in 20 countries.

User Experience7.6

VitalSecurityVPN is a part of Finjan; a technology giant from the United States. They do not keep logs of their users’ connections and activities while online, but their privacy policy does suggest that they may collect some data and possibly share it with third-party companies to enhance advertising. This may be a sticking point for some customers.
It is an easy service to set up, therefore suitable for novice users. Sadly, there is little information about accessing Netflix, so customers who want to stream may find this to be a problem.

How We Test Customer Support and Why Should You Care

We personally test the customer support team of every VPN we review. This means asking technical question through the live chat feature (where applicable) and measuring the response time for email questions. Whether you need to connect to a specific server, change your security protocol, or configure a VPN on your router, finding a VPN with quality customer support should be important to you.
