While iPredator is a decent VPN, you can get better quality VPNs at an affordable price. Surfshark, for example, offers premium VPN features for a super low monthly fee — so you don’t have to settle for less.
iPredator VPN masks your identity by hiding your true IP address. They are located in Cyprus and get the legal protection of Swedish laws. Their privacy policy states that if forced by law, they have only your subscription information to offer to authorities, which looks like a safe deal.
They also have a warrant canary on their website, which states they haven’t received any warrants as of April 2018.
They offer PPTP and OpenVPN. While PPTP is the weakest, it offers the fastest speeds. OpenVPN is the strongest of all VPN protocols, but it decreases the connection speeds. So that’s a trade-off you need to do – whether you want speed or security.
They offer a 3-day trial, and once it expires, you’ll have to register for their regular plans. They have monthly, 3-monthly, 6-monthly, and yearly plans. They have several payment options including PayPal and Bitcoin.
IPredator can be installed on a number of devices, including Windows, Mac, iOS, Android, Linux, BSD, and routers. One major drawback of iPredator is its network. They have servers in just one country – Sweden.

iPredator can be installed on Windows, Mac, iOS, Android, Linux, BSD, and routers.
For Windows, you can use either the OpenVPN app or Viscosity app. Mac installation is available through Viscosity and Tunnelblick.
For all supported platforms, they also have an option for manual configuration. If you don’t want to settle for third-party apps, you can follow the instructions on the iPredator website and configure your VPN.
Speeds are generally fast, but there can be a drop when you connect through OpenVPN. To get higher speeds, you can switch to PPTP but keep in mind that it will offer you lower security.
Installation takes about 5-7 minutes, and the VPN is easy to use. There is an FAQ section on the website along with their own blog. And if you want to contact the support, you can join their IRC.
