  4. The installation wizard will open. If you want to change the language or the destination folder, click the Install Setting link, and the dialogue box will expand with your customization options. When you’re ready, click the Install button.

Passfab 4WinKey is a reliable password recovery tool for Windows and Mac computers. Not only does PassFab recover or reset the password, but it will save all the documents, photos, software, settings, and applications that were associated with the account.

PassFab works by creating a reset disk, which would ideally be created before losing access to the account. However, what makes PassFab special is that it allows you to create the reset disk with a CD or USB thumb drive on a different computer if you’ve already lost access to the target computer.

How to Use PassFab 4WinKey

You can recover your lost password for Windows and Microsoft by following these three steps.

  • Step 1: Create the reset disk

When you run the PassFab program, you’ll have the option to create a backup disk on either a USB or CD. Choose the drive of your choice and click Next.

PassFab will format your CD or USB drive, which erases any data currently on the disk. If the drive contains files that you need, back it up on another drive or use a different CD/USB drive. Once you’re ready, press the Next button.

I, PassFab, will create a backup of your operating system on the disk. The duration of this process may vary, ranging from a few minutes to more than an hour, depending on the size of your operating system and the data included in the backup.

  • Step 2: Reboot your computer from the CD or USB Drive

Connect the USB or insert the CD into the computer with the lost or forgotten password. Restart the computer and press either the F12 key if you have a Lenovo, Acer, ASUS, HP, Hasee, Haier, THTF, or Founder desktop and laptops from Samsung, IBM, Fujitsu, GIGABYTE, Gateway, Toshiba, ThinkPad, Lenovo, Acer, Dell, Hassee, Founder, THTF, BenQ, and eMachines.

If you have a Dell desktop, or a laptop from ASUS or Sony click the ESC key.

This will open the Boot menu. Find the disk with your backup files, press the F10 button to save it, and exit the menu. Then, click on the Boot button on the menu bar to restart the computer.

  • Step 3: Recover or reset account

After the system reboots, open the PassFab app and choose from the following list of actions:

  • Remove Account Password: You can delete the local or domain password for an Admin or Guest user.
  • Reset Account Password: Remove and reset the local or domain password for Admin or Guest accounts. You can also choose to reset your Microsoft password.
  • Delete Windows Account: You can delete Windows and Microsoft accounts. The only exception is a local built-in account.
  • Create A New Account: Create a new Windows admin or domain account.
